A Shortish Week (leading up to our guest drummer!)

We are doing a blog post midweek as we want to devote Friday's post entirely to our guest drummer, Andy Gleadhill. Here are some pictures from the professional development with Andy at AIS.

This week in our Week-in-Review, the ECC students demonstrate some of their progress. The kindergarten is learning a new song for the holiday concert, the PreK has added the final verse and chorus to our welcome song, and the kindergarten enjoys one of our favorite song-books, Baby Beluga.

Students in Grade 1/2 are working hard to get their compositions ready for the holiday concert. The are composing rhythms for a song called Tingalayo, and this week was brainstorming week. You will also see pictures of the students uploading recordings of their rhythms onto their personal EasyBlog.

Grades 3-8 are hard at work practicing Cool Yule for their medley performance on the holiday concert. Solos and groups have been decided and students should be practicing at home. Of course, they are also preparing for Wizard of Oz Auditions.
