An Evening of the Arts

The Pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2 students did a fabulous job at the Evening of the Arts.

Please save-the-date for our end-of-year Variety Show: THE PRIS FACTOR, which will involve all students and take place on Wednesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. We are hoping for 100% attendance as the students are planning and executing this concert themselves.

In library, Pre-K students continued the Elephant and Piggie series by reading Should I Share My Icecream? This book, and more, can be found on the Book Read-Alouds YouTube playlist. Students continued the practice their scanning skills, checking books in and out independently.

Students in Grades K-4 had a technology week, practicing search skills, browsing and finding level-appropriate books in the library. Grade 3-4 student used Destiny Quest to comment on a review written by a Destiny friend last week.

Please note: The week of May 18-22 is the LAST week for students to check-out books from the library. All books are due back to the library by May 29 for inventory.

Last Thursday, before leaving for their trip, Middle School students presented their Garage Band projects for music class (we even had two students Skype in from afar!). The students created short commercials for their favorite books. A secret publisher chose three projects to move forward for further development. All of the students did a fantastic job.

Stay tuned for more from our PRIS Students and don't forget to check out the library and music YouTube page (and subscribe)! There will be no blog update next week due to the short week, so we look forward to our next entry on May 22.
